It supports Lightning zaps, letting you tip creators and peers directly in sats. It supports Nostr Wallet Connect (NWC), so it can pay from your own Lightning wallet. It includes end-to-end encrypted direct messages. As a Nostr-native application, Damus ties to a public key only you control and communicates over open relays, so there is no corporate account to lose access to.
